Non-maternity maternity is a term I used a lot while pregnant to describe my approach to maternity style. I knew I would need a few maternity pieces in rotation (jeans, tanks) but I challenged myself to save the money and get creative with the clothes I already had or purchase pieces I knew I could wear during and after pregnancy. They also had to grow with me! I kept my promise, hence the crop top pictured above at a cool 8 months pregnant.  In fact, I still wear many of the pieces I purchased while pregnant. Here are a few of the staples I kept in my non-maternity rotation. Featured Image by Katie Jameson

No brainer. I still live in jumpsuits. They’re roomy (perfect for preggos) and always look chic.

Oversized Button Ups

Tucked into skirts, over leggings, knotted in front with jeans, so many options!

I loved wearing overalls while pregnant. When it was warm out, I would pair an off the shoulder top and when it got colder, I would layer a turtleneck or button up.

Duster Jackets

When I was pregnant, I was either hot or cold. Dusters and kimonos were the perfect layer. Easy to travel with and endless options. My girls over at Esby have some on sale right now!

Black Jersey Dress

Perfect for layering. Add a white tee underneath or layer a denim jacket. I usually paired with sneakers.
