Community. This is everything to a new mom although not always the priority when you’re juggling a newborn, sleepless nights, and hormones. I found my community/village/network shortly after the birth of my son when I joined Tribe. I learned so much from my new mom friends, most importantly that I wasn’t alone. Community will look different to every mom and I urge you to find one that works for you. It can be as simple as setting up a play date, group chat, or private facebook page, it all makes a difference. We knew we wanted our first official event to help create a community-vibe by providing mamas-to-be an opportunity to mingle all while practicing some self-care. We partnered with our friends at The Little Yoga House to host a Sunday morning prenatal yoga class for 16 of our readers. After a brief introduction followed by an hour long class, the mamas-to-be were treated to non-alcoholic bubbly by Ready To Pop, a Natural Pregnancy Q&A by Sarah Senter of Medicine Kitchen, Watermelon and Mint Hydrator Juices by Juice Society and an essential oil DIY table by Regan De Marines. Our guests were treated with mama and baby swag bags on their way out by A Little Bundle, Archer & Olive, June and January, Birth Mist by Buca Botanicals, and Lacquer. We can’t wait to meet these babes!
