Think SXSW is only for adults? Think again! Many local businesses around Austin partake in the craziness and plan kid and family-friendly activities. Yep, you can expect traffic. And yes, Whole Foods will be a madhouse. But if you plan accordingly, there are fun and new opportunities around every corner. Call me crazy but it’s my favorite time of the year in Austin. This spring break, join The Little Yoga House for their 6th Annual Kid’s Fest. This special festival is two days, March 13th and 14th, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, with live music, interactive tech, art, and film activities for kids of all ages. Please anticipate long lines and a wait to enter the museum.

Spare The Rock at The Four Seasons Austin Starting March 14th
We will again be presenting music for kids and their grownups at the Four Seasons in between the on-the-air sets, and this year we’ll be down in the same area as the main stage (read: we can be louder than last year!). These shows were ridiculously great last year, and I have guessed one of the main stage acts already, and it’s gonna be so good. Family Music Starts at 8:30
Rock + Read at The Domain Saturday, March 17th at 3pm
Get out and enjoy one last hurrah of Spring Break/SXSW 2018 on Saturday, March 17! Rock + Read at The Domain is a live music and book fest where both kids and adults will enjoy a great lineup of musicians as well as local children’s book authors, who will be reading from their books in between music sets. There will also be hands-on activities for kids of all ages, books signings, giveaways and more at this FREE event! In addition to the live music and readings, kids will enjoy a color your own bookmark craft, jumping on a Springfree Trampoline, a putt-putt game with Top Golf, mini-hockey with Chaparral Ice, giveaways, and more!
