First month fog. That’s what I’m calling the first month of motherhood. Yesterday, I legit forgot that someone had come to our house and visited us. I thought the last time I saw them was when I was pregnant. Nope, they had already met our son. Along with losing your mind, you also lose your need to eat a full meal.  During this past month, eating became a pastime. Instead, energy came in the form of coffee (shhhh, I know), grazing, or snacking. You’re just too preoccupied to eat. And I’m not one of those girls who forgets a meal, but really, it’s not a priority. That is until Cilantro Lime came into our lives and changed the game. Suddenly, we were excited about cooking again and looked forward to opening the cooler to see what we were having for dinner that night. Almost like date night, but in pjs.

Like our Amazon-obsessed lives, food is also something that can magically appear at our doorstep with the push of a button. In this case, it’s in the form of a recipe that you choose altered to your preference (vegan, gluten-free, paleo, low carb, etc.) and cooking ability, with fresh ingredients labeled and pre-measured. It’s delivered and dropped on your doorstep with a friendly text message reminding you it’s there. Not home to put in your refrigerator? It comes in a insulated cooler bag with ice packs so it will stay fresh even in hot summer temps.

All meals come with enough food for two people. We dined on chicken, scallops, steak, pork chops, nicoise salad (pictured below) and felt for the few minutes we were dining together that I wasn’t a sleep deprived mombot.

This is the perfect gift on so many levels. Use the service as an alternative to dropping off food for first-time parents or buy credits for a baby shower gift. New to cooking? Cilantro Lime makes this step by step process  fool-proof.
